On Both Oil Furnace and Boiler Tune Ups:
Adjust thermostat settings and level
(recommend battery replacement annually)
Inspect basement exhaust flues for safety
Check for adequate air for safe combustion of appliances
Inspect heat exchanger / block for deterioration
Replace oil tank filter cartridge
Clean fuel pump strainer annd replace gasket
Clean gun assembly
Clean and inspect electrodes
Replace oil nozzle
Clean air tube and head
Inspect and brush clean burner wheel
Inspect burner coupling
Inspect fuel pump
Inspect burner motor (lubricate if necessary)
Inspect and clean cad cell
Check ignition transformer / ignitor
Check cad cell relay
Check for fuel leaks
Check wiring and connections
Measure voltage and amp draw
Clean flue pipe and barometric damper
Check draft and take out chimney
Perform smoke test

Oil Furnace Precision tune up only:
Brush and vacuum furnace and heat exchanger
Clean blower assembly and louvers
Check motor bearings ( lubricate if necessary)
Adjust for proper temperature rise
Remove and clean filter or recommend replacement
Test furnace high limit safety shutoff
Test for carbon monoxide presence in air system
Inform customer of AMA savings for next year

On Gas Boilers only:
Brush and vacuum boiler and block
Check expansion tank for proper operation
Record system pressure reading at limit
Check pressure reducing valve and backflow preventer
Check pressure relief valve for leaks
Check air elimination systems
Check and oil system circulator pump(s)
Test aquastat and record settings
Check zones for proper operation
System water PH level
Inform customer of AMA savings for next year
